This is a hands on learning class which focuses on the basics used in the kitchen but you will be amazed at the creations you will produce and how professional your dishes will look!

You will learn the basics of:

Essential Knife Skills/ Preparation. Our chef will teach you techniques for slicing and cutting like a professional including how to maintain your knives.
Cooking Methods / plating presentation – frying, grilling, poaching, baking, sautéing and more.
Cooking preparation and sequence / plating presentation. Knowing each utensil and the best equipment for every food preparation.
Some of the food items our experts may teach you to cook perfectly:

  • Eggs – different styles including the chef’s method of poaching
  • Pasta – the perfect al dente pasta every time
  • Rice – fluffy beautiful rice every time
  • Steak – how to cook it to everyone’s liking
  • Fish – crispy skinned and perfectly moist
  • Sauces & Seasoning – How to create sauces for pasta and steak from scratch,
  • Plating Up – The positioning on the plate. The tricks to give your meal the WOW factor.
  • Place Settings – Setting the table correctly.
  • Cooking Well – Is what this class is all about.

Please note

All classes & workshops are conducted ‘hands on’. No prior cooking skills are required. To ensure personal tuition our classes are kept small, from minimum of 8 to maximum of 16. For safety reason, we require all participants to wear fully enclosed, flat, non-slip shoes. Please also ensure that long hair is tied back.
